Thursday 1 July: Donna Summer & Joe “Bean” Esposito – I Believe in You
This #throwbackthursday we get back to 1997, the year the original version of the duet between Donna Summer and Joe Esposito was a track on the I’m a Rainbow album. I a Figo Sound Version a brand new version came out last week.
Friday 2 July: David Douglas & Blaudzun – Lumen
The light is breaking through after hours of grey skies. Producer David Douglas and Blaudzun collaborated on this EDM track.
Saturday 3 July: Coastal – Days Go By
Synthwave band Coastal from Leeds, UK, released the new single, Days Goes By, yesterday.
Sunday 4 July: Romanticist Chromatic – Festival of Beer
This evening, my daughter Henriëtte and I attended the Mout Beer Festival in Park Wezenlanden in Zwolle. There’s a song for that too. Cheers!
Monday 5 July: Bayrunner – Back to the Office
Today I went back to both Capgemini Leidsche Rijn and Rabobank Utrecht offices for the first time since September 2020.
Tuesday 6 July: Jahzo – School Degree
Tonight, our youngest daughter received her Gymnasium degree. She’s ready now to start her Bachelor Religious Studies at the University of Groningen.
Wednesday 7 July: The Corrs & Bono – Summer Wine
We concluded the work day with a summer drinks party…in MS Teams. We shared our holiday plans, dreaming aloud.
Thursday 8 July: David Guetta, MistaJam & John Newman – If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)
It’s #throwbackthursday. Rewind to 1985. Whitney Houston sings How Will I Know?. Back in 2021, David Guetta, MistaJam & John Newman collaborated on a dance floor filler version.
Friday 9 July: Handsome Poets – Alles Oké
If someone asks you how you’re doing, default answer is ‘OK’, ‘doing good’, ‘doing well’ or ‘fine thanks’. Is everything OK? The Dutch band Handsome Poets has a song about this.
Saturday 10 July: Janneke Jager – Groningen
A heart that jumps for joy seeing a market square in the city of Groningen. Let’s head north for a couple of city walks.
