Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 11-20 October 2020

Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2020 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the second batch in October.

Sunday 11 October: Phil Keaggy – John the Revelator

I spent this Sunday afternoon preparing for a (series of) small group studies on the last book of the Bible, the Revelation of John. In 1993 Phil Keaggy released a matching song on Crimson and Blue, originally by Blind Willie Johnson.

Monday 12 October: CLNGR & Alexa Cappelli – Waste of Time

Hearing that the past two hours spent were a waste of time due to an instant change of opinion is frustrating.

Tuesday 13 October: The Offspring – Hammerhead

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte compared the latest government measures (at the dawn of a complete lockdown) with a hammer to nail down the COVID-19 virus.

Wednesday 14 October: Nona – Forever Yours

Although there’s enough reason for chagrin, uplifting music is better to listen to. Here’s Nona with her new single Forever Yours.

Thursday 15 October: Donna Summer – The Wanderer (Figo Sound Radio Mix)

It’s #throwbackthursday. Recently, Figo Sound remixed Donna Summer‘s The Wanderer (1980). My compliments. By the way, the album with the same name has I Believe In Jesus as the closing track, at that time a faithful ‘coming out’.

Friday 16 October: LEVV – Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)

Progressive house version by LEVV of this famous Hillsong worship song to kick off the weekend.

Saturday 17 October: Ceronte – Walking on Hills

Sunday 18 October: Justin Bieber & Chance the Rapper – Holy

Justin Bieber reflects on his baptism and love for his wife, Hailey Baldwin in the new single, Holy, a collaboration with Chance the Rapper.

Monday 19 October: Coska – Lost in Infinity

Some uplifting music after a long day providing a PRINCE2 Practitioner training through Adobe Connect.

Tuesday 20 October: Office Music Experts – Lunch Time

As of today we protect the 12.00-13.00h slot for lunch. A strict no meetings policy by blocking our calendar. It was needed because everyone thought lunch time was meant for online meetings too.
