Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 1-10 June 2020

Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2020 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the first batch in June.

Monday 1 June: Arijit Singh & Shashwat Singh – Haan Main Galat

I watched the romantic Bollywood movie Love Aaj Kal (2020) the other day. Haan Main Galat (Yes I’m wrong) is one of the danceable songs from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Tuesday 2 June: DC Talk – Colored People

This Tuesday, many shows were paused, black rectangles posted on e.g. Instagram and Twitter to stand by the #blacklivesmatter movement. I’m not in favor of clicktivism, often mere slacktivism. Actions speak louder than words. Today’s featured Spotify playlist on Black Lives Matter will be replaced tomorrow. What are you going to do on Wednesday next to continue your life. I returned to DC Talk’s

Wednesday 3 June: ATB & Andrew Rayel – Connected

Among other meetings I had the kick-off Teams call for the Connected Manager training program for Capgemini people managers powered by Harvard ManageMentor this afternoon. There’s a song for every situation 🙂

Thursday 4 June: Lian Ross – You Can Win If You Want

This #throwbackthursday addition is Lian Ross‘s cover of Modern Talking‘s You Can Win If You Want (1985). Both acts are German, in case you didn’t know.

Friday 5 June: Clayton Anderson – Beer Tastes Better on Friday

Tonight, my son and me are attending an online beer tasting event organized by Capgemini Escape. A box with five bottles and a can of beer was shipped to our home last week. An online presentation of the different brands and tastes, quiz, and interaction via Youtube, etc. will do the rest. Beer tastes better on Friday.

Saturday 6 June: Grace Jones – Walking In The Rain

It happened three times today. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the 40.6 kilometers hike.

Sunday 7 June: Carlos Deutsch – Day At The Museum

Last week, museums in the Netherlands opened their doors again after the March 2020 outbreak of COVID-19. One direction, mandatory ticket reservation prior to your visit, 1.5-meter social distancing. A day at a museum is not a spontaneous drop-in anymore, but nevertheless inspiring.

Monday 8 June: KT Tunstall – Wash Ya Hands

You’d better make fun of on a umptieth day working from home.

Tuesday 9 June: Crosby, Stills & Nash – 49 Bye-Byes

Bye-bye 49, off to see Abraham.

Wednesday 10 June: Westbound Train – I’m Not Different

Yes, I’m 50 now, but I feel no difference. Let’s celebrate the day!
