Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2020 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the second batch in March 2020.
Wednesday 11 March 2020: LEFFES – Dentist
I went to see the dentist today.
Thursday 12 March 2020: Aurora – Walking in the Air
Walking in the Air is a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film of Raymond Briggs’ 1978 children’s book The Snowman. Ever since, tens of artists sang this song, the latest of which is the Norwegian singer Aurora. She recently released a non-album version overlaying a video of the film The Snowman, although she performed the song live already in 2015. #throwbackthursday
Friday 13 March 2020: Priest – Virus
Corona or COVID-19 is all over the place. The virus outbreak is now a pandemy, even reached our small Dutch village with a first victim tested positive.
Saturday 14 March 2020: Kim Petras – Wrong Turn
By mistake, I took the wrong turn in Balkbrug where roadworks altered the setup of driving lanes. German Kim Petras sings about it.
Sunday 15 March 2020: Lauren Daigle – Trust In You
Better safe in God’s arms, than sorry for foraging toilet paper and painkillers, worrying about everything that Corona could cause. With Lauren Daigle I put my trust in God.
Monday 16 March 2020: Yofrangel & Fraga – Corona Virus
First full day working from home. A series of calls, Teams & Skype meetings, WhatsApp conversations, email in the morning and evening, delivering part one of a PRINCE2 Foundation training from home via Teams instead of on premises in Rotterdam. Corona forces us all to embrace change, not other humans these days.
Tuesday 17 March 2020: Cliff Richard – From a distance
From a distance, the Earth looks blue and green, sings Cliff Richard. Can you add a day to your life by worrying? Nope, Jesus Christ teached us.
Wednesday 18 March 2020: Kahun
Yesterday night I watched the new Netflix original Guilty on a #metoo rape case in India. From the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack I selected Kahun.
Thursday 19 March 2020: Don McLean – By the Waters of Babylon versus Adam Again – Babylon
From 1988 onwards I was a huge fan of Adam Again. The late Gene Eugene and his band brought us funk, rock, experimental sampling, and electronica. Until yesterday night’s preparation for next week’s small group session starting with Psalm 137, I really thought that Babylon was an Adam Again original. Nope, it was Don McLean already performing the song live in 1974. Here are the two songs.
Friday 20 March 2020: Key4050 & Plumb – I Love You
