Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2020 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the remainder of February 2020.
Friday 21 February: ABBA – Rock Me
I went to an ABBA Rocks gig in Hedon, Zwolle tonight. ABBA songs covered by an impressive rock band. The Swedish asked for it in 1975.
Saturday 22 February: Purity Ring – Stardew
This week it was announced that Purity Ring would return to Amsterdam to play a gig in Melkweg on 9 September. Even better news, their new Womb album will be released on 3rd April. Here’s Stardew, the lead single.
Sunday 23 February: Luminanthem – Wherever We May Go
Walking in Lower-Saxony, Germany, and Twente, picking up our daughter in Assen, church in Dedemsvaart, mother in law’s birthday party in Balkbrug, bringing my daughter back to Hoogeveen. Wherever We May Go, let’s go with God.
Monday 24 February: Bunkface – Bunk Anthem
After a full day work and delivering a fourth training evening of a PRINCE2 Foundation course, I stayed in the Bunk Hotel, Utrecht for the night.
Tuesday 25 February: Porcupine Tree – Trains
Trains from Utrecht to Amsterdam and back, then to Zwolle and Ommen.
Wednesday 26 February: Bram Bechtold – Gezelligheid
Today I finished reading Gezellig! by Petra Vethman about the Dutch culture.
Thursday 27 February: Roy Orbison – I Drove All Night
Last weekend I stumbled upon Roy Orbison‘s I Drove All Night, that I until then only knew as Céline Dion‘s power-pop version on One Heart (2003). Orbison’s version was released in 1992, although it was recorded in 1987, one year before his passing. Although the song was intended for Roy, it was made famous already in 1989 by Cyndi Lauper. It’s #throwbackthursday
Friday 28 February: Gabrielle Aplin – Keep on Walking
I visited the Fiets- en Wandelbeurs (Walk & Cycle Fair) for the very first time in my life. I carried kilos of inspiration back home to keep me walking.
Saturday 29 February: Torul – Best Moments
Smooth synth pop to finish this extra long February.
