Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 1-10 February 2020

Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2020 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the first ten days of February 2020.

Saturday 1 February: Nainita Desai – Leaving Home

I watched the documentary For Sama about the besiege of Aleppo, Syria yesterday evening. Nainita Desai composed the original motion picture soundtrack. I selected Leaving Home.

Sunday 2 February: Cathy Burton & Alan Morris – I’m Not Alone

Certainty as believer in God’s provision brings Cathy Burton to collaborate with Alan Morris (music producer & DJ from Germany, managing director of Transistic Records) for a new vocal trance track, I’m Not Alone.

Monday 3 February: lovelytheband – loneliness for love

lovelytheband sent a mail this weekend, announcing their new single loneliness for love. You can easily mistake loneliness for love filling the emptiness in yourself. Fine pop song with a message.

Tuesday 4 February: Magazine – Final Analysis Waltz

Lots of analysis work these days.

Wednesday 5 February: eleventyseven – Basic Glitches

Once upon a time in 2002, eleventyseven made pop punk. Back to the future. In 2020, the new Basic Glitches album is filled with synth pop.

Thursday 6 February: Joseph Koo – Dream of Heaven

This evening I attended a lecture on Dreaming of Heaven organized by the Protestant Church in the Netherlands.

Friday 7 February: David Guetta, Morten & Raye – Make It to Heaven

Another taste of heaven, this time by David Guetta, Morten Breum & vocalist Raye from Gueatta’s latest Never be Alone album.

Saturday 8 February: PRIZM – All Night

Dallas-based duo PRIZM feeds your hunger for more 80’s inspired danceable pop.

Sunday 9 February: All Hail the Silence & Lifelike: Stand Together

Lots of new synth pop coming to us these weeks, which is great. Today’s All Hail the Silence turn.

Monday 10 February: Syrian – Memory Stream

Last Friday, Italian futurepop band Syrian treated us to a new single. It took seven years since Death of a Sun.
