Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 2019: 21-31 October

Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2019 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the final leg of October 2019.

Monday 21 October: Allie X – Rings a Bell

Allie X‘s new single is a smooth pop track.

Tuesday 22 October: Tucka – Appointments Only

This Tuesday’s calendar contains appointments only.

Wednesday 23 October: Sukhwinder Singh, Arjun Kanungo, Parry G – House Party Song

On my way back from Brussels I watched Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga on Netflix.

Thursday 24 October: Tobymac, Hollyn & Tru – Backseat Driver

“I put my trust in You”. To lose your child is a loss whatsoever. Earlier this week Tobymac’s firstborn, Truett Foster McKeehan passed away at age 21.

Friday 25 October: Jessie Villa – Burn Blue

Smooth synth pop by America singer/songwriter, Jessie Villa.

Saturday 26 October: Lecrae, Sean Garrett & Crystal Nicole – Please forgive

To illustrate the parable of the Pharisee being selfish and proud and the tax collector being humble and in need for forgiveness, the pastor in Vledzicht used Please forgive by Lecrae et al, taken from the OST to Superfly.

Sunday 27 October: John Grand – Apollo

I discovered another side of The New Division’s John Kunkel using the moniker John Grand, releasing progressive house tracks as well.

Monday 28 October: The Juan Maclean

Today, I learned that waiting for my new lease car, a Kia e-Niro, will take another sixteen days. Although the car is already in Zwolle since 25 October, finding a slot in the mechanic’s agenda seems to be a difficult thing.

Tuesday 29 October: Vitaa & Slimane – Ça va ça vient

No weekly roundtrip to Brussels, because of autumn holidays in Belgium. And yet, Vitaa & Slimane throw in some French with Ça va ça vient (it goes, it comes), taken from their new album VersuS. Light up the dark world!

Wednesday 30 October: Korine – Uncrossed

Korine presents their take on 80’s wave and synth pop.

Thursday 31 October: Jenifer & Kyle Minogue On oublie le reste

It’s #throwbackthursday. Here’s a kind of mashup of a French upbeat song and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (2001) by Kylie Minogue.
