Wednesday 21 August: Michael Sweet & Jeff Loomis – Better Part of Me

Stryper’s front man Michael Sweet teamed up with Arch Enemy’s Jeff Loomis to fight for The Better Part of Me from Michael’s upcoming album Ten that contains twelve songs of which eleven are collaborations with famous rock stars.

Thursday 22 August: Lxandra – Pride (In The Name of Love)

Taken from The Man in the High Castle TV-series music album, this U2 classic is today’s #throwbackthursday song covered by Lxandra, a Finnish singer from a fortress island named Suomenlinna.

Friday 23 August: Van Morrison – In The Garden

Today, my son and I worked whole day in the garden in Groningen.

I was surprised to see new music from Iris popping up during last Friday’s tour de new playlists. Great synth pop from their Six record.

Summer song about the city where I’m working today: Brussels, Belgium.


Wednesday 28 August: Madeline Juno – Grund Genug

A breakup song in German by Madeline Juno. Her new album will be released very soon.

Thursday 29 August: Micast & Kya – Moonlight Shadow

A synth pop cover by Micast & Kya of Mike Oldfield‘s classic Moonlight Shadow (1983) featuring Maggie Reilly. First the original video clip to refresh your memory.

Friday 30 August: Blank & Jones featuring Jan Loechel – Secret Hideaway

Smooth music to walk on.

Saturday 31 August: Erwin de Vries – Prachteg Grunnen

I finished the southern part of the Pronkjewailpad, 350 kilometers walking through the southern half of the province of Groningen. The track ended at bar De Toeter in the city of Groningen.
