Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2019 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the first leg of July 2019.
Monday 1 July: Snarky Puppy – Chrysalis
The Snarky Puppy collective was recommended by one of the guitarists in our church last week. Never too late to discover a new jazz rock / fusion band. These men have a new album out: Immigrance, which was added to the Yet to be reviewed playlist.
Tuesday 2 July: Flume & London Grammar – Let You Know
Oh, what would new work by London Grammar be welcome….
Wednesday 3 July: Maceo Parker – Chicken
Main dish in tonight’s season’s closure of our church’s small group meeting was chicken, rice, tutti frutti, sugar, and grease.
Thursday 4 July: Fritz Kalkbrenner – Rouleur
The city of Brussels is preparing for this weekend’s Grand Départ, the start of the Tour de France.
Friday 5 July: Mondträume – Nothing
Saturday 6 July: Rod Stewart – Sailing
Klazien and I boarded De Stedemaeght to sail the Markermeer between Lelystad and Hoorn today.
Sunday 7 July: Snow Patrol – Time Won’t Go Slowly
Snow Patrol‘s back. Here’s their new single, a waltz ballad.
Monday 8 July: Lindy & The Circuit Riders – Hands and Feet
Taking care of refugees and visit people in prison, wherever you are, in my case Balkbrug. Showing Christ’s hand and feet, driven by love, not the agenda. Lindy & The Circuit Riders have their Driven by Love album out to illustrate this day.
Tuesday 9 July: Caveboy – Landslide
Smooth synth pop by Caveboy. This trio is labeled as “Mixing ’80s-indebted new wave tunes with a sprinkle of dance-punk, as well as melodies appealing to fans of artists as classic as Bruce Springsteen and as modern as Haim.”
Wednesday 10 July: Audien & Echosmith – Favorite Sound
