Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 2019: 1-10 April

Each day I add music to my soundtrack to 2019 Spotify playlist. Here’s the list for the first ten days of April.

Monday 1 April: Manchester Orchestra – April Fool

Tuesday 2 April: The Cranberries – Wake Me When It’s Over

The Cranberries dedicated their 8th and final album In The End to singer Dolores O’Riordan who died last year to drugs abuse. “I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of Dolores’ passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band.” Eileen O’Riordan, Dolores O’Riordan’s mother. 30 years after forming in Limerick (initially as The Cranberry Saw Us), the band leaves the scene.

Wednesday 3 April: Ollie Gabriel- Running Man

Thursday 4 April: sleepmakeswaves – Children

It’s #throwbackthursday featuring sleepmakeswaves‘ rendering over the late Robert Miles classic Children.

Friday 5 April: Tina Boonstra – Flicker

Saturday 6 April: Indigo Jones – 40 Miles

I’m walking 40 miles (60 kilometers) on a Dutch island named Texel today.

The German singer-songwriter Mogli is back with Patience.

Wednesday 10 April: André Bijleveld – Psalm 22

Tonight our church’s small group digs into Psalm 22, quoted by Jesus Christ on the cross (my God, my God, why have You forsaken me), and fulfilled in many other aspects in the passion of the Christ.
