Thursday 11 October: The Choir – Mr. Chandler

Yesterday, The Choir spread the news that their longtime bass player, Tim Chandler, passed away on October 8 2018. The Burning Like the Midnight Sun (2010) album featured a song about Mr. Chandler’s adventures on airports.

Friday 12 October: CUT_ – Not Addicted to You

On 22 November I’ll attend the Roosevelt concert in Melkweg, Amsterdam. Support act is the Dutch duo CUT_ that was featured this week in the EQMusic blog.

Saturday 13 October: Allie X – Sunflower – Synth reprise

Sunny Saturday, off to bake pastries in Amsterdam with my daughter. Relaxed synth track by Allie X taken from the upcoming Super Sunset album as a companion.

Sunday 14 October: Let’s Eat Grandma – I Will Be Waiting (Baths Remix)

Let’s Eat Grandma is the support act of CHVRCHES at their 3 November concert in Tivoli, Utrecht.

Kim Wilde not only joined German Nena for a bilingual single of Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime, but now colaborates with Laurent Voulzy for the French / English single Amoureux des Rêves, twisted French for Love Dreams or Dream Love.

Friday 19 October: Mogli – Wanderer

Yesterday and today I watched Expedition Happiness, in which Felix Starck en Selima Taibi and their dog Rudi travel throughout the Americas with a converted school bus. Selima Taibi happens to be the singer songwriter Mogli. Her songs functioned as soundtrack Wanderer (2017) to the movie.

Saturday 20 October: Tenth Avenue North – Love Anyway

Tenth Avenue North has a new EP out called The Things We’ve Been Afraid to Say. Love in action, grace over judgement.
