The final batch of contributions to Henk-Jan’s soundtrack to 2018 in Spotify. A memorable song each day. A retrospective on the past 10 days.
Wednesday 11 April: Ruben Hein – Traffic Jam
It took fifty minutes to cross the city of Zwolle because of (other) traffic jams on the A28. Happy to be a regular train traveller, not so happy with today’s loss of precious leisure time.
Thursday 12 April: Unsecret & Fleurie – Be A Witness
Friday 13 April: Priest – Lost Lions
Priest is back today with a new EP called The Lost Lions. Here’s the title track.
Saturday 14 April: Scavenger Hunt – Ghosts
Recommended for listeners to Priest is Scavenger Hunt. I totally agree. What a great track is Ghosts, although I prefer the original from 2017 over the remixes with Paperwhite and Billboard, or the stripped version released in 2018.
Sunday 15 April: LEDGER – Not Dead Yet
Monday 16 April: Rose Royce – Carwash (remix)
Finally a sunny day again. I went to wash my car straight after dinner.
Tuesday 17 April: Enzo Van Baelen – Antwerp
From Amsterdam to Brussels and Antwerp today.
Wednesday 18 April: Eddy Davis – I Love My Wife
We celebrate Klazien’s birthday today. A funny love song to join us.
Thursday 19 April: Niels Geusebroek – Year of Summer
Not only it’s summer time in the Netherlands. Yesterday during the ING Bank cross-border days 2018, Dutch singer Niels Geusebroek offered Year of Summer (2012) live to the 1,000 bank employees and externals in the AED Studios in Lint, Belgium. A #throwbackthursday contribution.
Friday 20 April: Deepend & Janieck – To Rome
A full week of culture and walks in Rome, Italy.
