In this 35 pages short fiction, Pimp in the Pulpit, author Thomas McRae lets his readers drown in a maelstrom of dysfunctional family members, derailed parties, rants, and bitter conversations. The diversity of characters, their greed and selfishness leave little room to breathe. Nevertheless offspring Edward Jones breaks free and pursuits a career as a writer. He concludes that not everyone who says they love you genuinely loves you because their actions speak volumes.
I received a free review copy from the author in exchange for my personal, unbiased review upon reading.
