Ryan Trapp – Chasing 193: The Quest to Visit Every Country in the World

chasing193Ryan Trapp, along with co-author Lee Abbamonte interviewed 34 of the 98 people in history that have (or claim to have) traveled to every country (as in the UN member states list) in the world. Answers to no less than 30 questions by 20 of them make up the content of this book. How did these frequent travelers grow up, catch the travel virus? What are their highlights and lowlights? Which place would they highly recommended or not visit ever again? How much luggage is necessary? Do you need to be rich and retired to travel that much? What makes people want to chase all the 193 countries way beyond the obvious tourist hot spots?

Chasing 193: The Quest to Visit Every Country in the World. A single read of all 20 may be too much, though it’s really interesting to get a peek behind this hobby of the interviewed. I missed personal stories by Trapp and Abbamonte themselves, even though Trapp himself has about 45 more countries to go.
