stress testDr. Matt Newman thought he just could leave his private practice and resume his career in academic medicine. But after being kidnapped after a night shift in the ER and having miraculously escaped in a remote industrial area of Dallas, TX, Matt faces all kinds of unexpected twists of fate. He is accused of murder of a woman and drugs abuse. And yes, a weapon was found, fingerprints and clothing as well. He is advised to get assistance from a well-known lawyer  Sandra Murray. Sandra is fiery and sharp, defending both criminals and falsely accused, but also a Christian with morale. Is trust enough?

What does the self-prescription by Matt have to do with the drugs abuse? And what if another murder is committed in Matt’s own house? Matt’s career is going down the drain. His freedom and perhaps his life may be next. Police and investigator are convinced dr. Newman isn’t an innocent dove. The story turns out to be a real stress test. Will Matt stay alive or pay for his deeds? Will justice be done? Seems like all the people he counted on are not there for him, except he does have God on his side, and Sandra a earthly companion. Stress Test a fast-paced page turning medical suspense thriller. The story grabs its reader and doesn’t let go until the end. Richard Mabry is a fantastic storyteller!
