A Guy’s Guide to Life: How to Become a Man in 224 Pages or Less is a teenage guy’s handbook to becoming a man with a healthy mind, body, and soul. Jason Boyett uses today’s slang to present sensitive topics like self-image, peer pressure, sexuality, education, building relationships, friendships and dating in a friendly but radical way. Does one book make you a man? Of course not, that’s not even Boyett’s aim. This guidebook may serve both young men as well as their fathers to sparkle interesting conversations, re-think and prepare. Life’s a struggle. The obvious thruths like ‘normal family life’, Sunday school classes and childhood are challenged. I was happy to discover the book was not only about sexuality or marriage, but did include thoughts on personal faith choices, communication, health and exercise as well.
