Kristina Sutherland is a typical New York party-girl. However, for some months now, she hasn’t slept with anybody. Nevertheless, she discovers she is pregnant. How the hell is that possible…..? Shawn Davis is head of security of the company his grandfather owns and where Kristina’s father Lawson Sutherland, is a top executive, Lyon International. By chance, Kristina and Shawn meet and Kristina reveals her problem.
As a member of the high society, being pregnant without being married, that could and would raise quite a scandal. And, how did she get pregnant? Did she get raped or drugged and raped? In the process of finding out, what really happened Kristina is pushed to have an abortion, is threatened and somebody gets murdered.
I did like to read The Heritage by award winning author Johnny Ray very much and I can tell you, that the end is not exactly what you expected. So I won’t blab out either. The story is not a predictable one, but of course Shawn and Kristina fall in love. What’s a good story without a (little) romance?
